Sally Klem
I’ve spent most of my life creating something with my hands. From the time my grandmother and mother taught me to embroider I’ve delighter in exploring a wide variety of handcrafts. Family, teachers, friends, workshops and now online sources have fed my quest to learn new procedures.
In my daily life I’m a picture framer who enjoys helping clients choose colors and styles to enhance their treasured mementoes. Often those are handcrafted items, like filet crochet doilies or needlepoint and cross stitch designs. Some of the crafts I enjoy are knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, needlepoint, crewel embroidery, Brazilian embroidery, spinning (on a wheel), dyeing fiber and yard, wet felting or fulling, needle felting, and piecing quilt tops.
I live and work in Jasper, Indiana with my husband of 48 years. We have two sons, two daughters, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren (2 granddaughters and one grandson who are the light of our life.) Someday when I retire I’m going to finish all my projects!
