I began mosaic-ing about 8 years ago after seeing a piece a friend’s daughter made. I was attracted to the up-cycling and creative aspects of this art. Not only that –breaking things legally, safely, and purposefully can be lots of fun! For many reasons this type of art seemed to be a perfect fit for me.
Besides creating mosaic art, I dabble in jewelry making and am a certified PMC fine silver instructor. I enjoy working with beads, felt, wood, metal, paper, stones, bottles, patterns, geometric shapes (especially circles and squares), stripes, stencils, and stamps.
I’ve learned through the years in order to be an artist, you don’t have to know how to draw, paint, cut, or shape. An artist just needs the confidence to change something into a more beautiful version of itself.
