Bruce Blunk

"I am a fifth generation weaver of rugs and accessories on antique looms; one loom is 90 years old and the other is 118”. A weaver with a green conscience, all items are made from recycled materials. Bruce says, “I like the idea of not filling landfills up. You can’t just use our natural resources up.”

“My handmade rugs are woven by hand with miscellaneous pieces of clean fabric making a beautiful design.” Because of this, the colors and design of each are all going to be different, but follow a similar pattern to make them as colorful as possible.

One part of weaving that hasn’t changed is the process itself. Though the world today looks drastically different from the one in which Blunk’s great-great-grandfather weaved, he works the same craft in the same art form.
